Do you read them? If no, why not?


If it is from an author I enjoy, then yes. If I've never heard of it but the title catches my eye, then yes. If it is something written by someone whose opinion I value, then generally yes.

Do you comment on them? If no, why not?


Occasionally. But only if I have something to add. Most reviews don't really lend themselves to discussion, and I generally don't feel the need to tell people what I think...except in this survey ;)

Have you written a review for the site? If no, why not?


Nope.

I love reviews. They're always interesting, they're good for helping me decide what I do or don't want to read, and they introduce me to new authors. So I find it strange that people here don't seem to care that much about them, despite the fine effort put in by many people here.


I don't know that there is a lack of appreciation, but more of a lack of something to say. I go back to what I said about reviews generally not lending themselves to discussion. Sometimes, I think people just want to see what someone else thought of a book and then move on. I suppose you could harass Ben into putting in some sort of "Like" option thingy like Facebook has :D

Is there anything we could do that would make you get more involved?
