Stephenson has a way of writing that very completely immerses me into the world and setting of his story.
I made it 200pages into Crypto before I simply gave up out of sheer frustration and bordedom, his writing style just numbed me. It went nowhere, had nothing dragging me along to nowhere, no indication where in nowhere we were going...
Anytime he did manage to string a few pages together that finally caught my attention, he was off on another tangent just as I got remotely interested. I gave it my best shot, but 200pages was the most I was willing to invest in this. Yet so many people love his books and recommend him, sometimes things make no sense
Anyone read Neal Stephenson's ANATHEM?

Looking back, I can't remember reading it. I one hundred percent see it in my head as a movie.
