I find it quick, easy, and nicely portable in my particular situation. I'm at work during the night, so I have my computer with me at the hotel I work at to surf the web. Having pdf or html versions of the books I already own is a quick way for me to cart them all here and read them.

Like I said in response to Aemon's comment, the real thing I'm wondering about as far as book sales, is how heavily is piracy affecting sales?

The native format for eReaders isn't pdf although some of them have functions to try and read them (sony's is called re-flow). I researched this some when I was considering buying a reader, I found most people didn't care for the pdf capabilities although all seemed to agree that they had improved.

I'm not sure how much piracy is really affecting book sales but I don't think it has that big of an affect because the native formats aren't really readable on computers (as far as I know).
