I can't work out whether I like him or not, which is annoying.
I say that because the most interesting part of the story for me was Bast and Kvothe's relationship. There's something very strange about why Bast is there, why Kvothe is hanging out with a Demon, and it's gotta have something to do with how he lost his mojo, and that's the story I really want to hear. I could care less about the university story, I just want to see Kvothe get his groove back.
Formerly Dark Prophecy, now I'm just me.

It's almost as if the author decided there needed to be a little adventure to move the story along.

The book has been compared with Harry Potter. Do you think this is fair? Why/why not? *NM*

I really couldn't say whether it was fair. Seems a weird judgement to me.
