However, our non-fiction books are separate from fiction and those are arranged more or less by genre. Almost Dewey Decimal, perhaps. I like to put things together that are polar opposites, like Dawkins and Biblical books, or the Qur'an beside Metamorphoses, etc.

On that note, I hesitated over whether old things like The Aeneid, Metamorphoses, etc should go under fiction or non-fiction, but in the end the space issue decided me. I can't wait to have a proper house with the right number of bookshelves.
