Every student have a "high tech" desk with a plastic logic screen built into it, where they can view their textbooks electronically. Schools lose so much money replacing damaged and stolen books, and waste so much time distributing and collecting them, that I think the day is not far off where digital texts would make sense. Students could have some sort of e-reader device for home use as well. Heck, some e-readers are already as cheap as the cost of a set of the textbooks my students receive. Someday...


Were I think they would be of most use is in relation to academic books. If all academic books were also released as e-books I would buy an e-reader tomorrow.
