That having been said, I would want some sort of progression if I were to read an anthology, whether thematic or stylistic. Progression meaning a significant shift in how a common theme is presented throughout stories.

Not easy to do in an anthology, but that's why anthologies suck.


I tend to enjoy anthologies on the whole, but I've found the trick is to not read them as if they are a novel. Oh, and I enjoy mix CDs, so there is that angle as well
