Finished reading the new SOIAF-related novella, "The Mystery Knight" a couple of nights ago Larry Send a noteboard - 14/01/2010 01:12:12 AM
Couldn't post much about it (it appears in the anthology, Warriors, which will be released in the US on March 2) due to injuring my wrist and arm at work yesterday, plus I'm not supposed to be typing much, if at all, so a few brief comments:

88 pages long, last story in the book

Many references to what "The Dance of Dragons" is, in case any forgot

Interesting mystery involving Egg and...

Tribute to Mervyn Peake with a character's name

Important backstory element for the series' "history" is covered in depth

Damn feast description!

Enjoyed it quite a bit

Oh, and be sure to read the other stories, as Peter Beagle's "Dirae" is something to behold...
Illusions fall like the husk of a fruit, one after another, and the fruit is experience. - Narrator, Sylvie
