Donaldson has been one of my favorite all times fantasists since I first read the Thomas Covenant books back in the mid 80s (I think I was about 13 when I first started reading them, and have read the original two trilogies two or three times).
It isn't bad it just isn't moving. I am about half wat through and I keep putting it aside and picking up other books. He is one of my all time favorite writers but I hope he picks up the pace for this next book.
