Finished King Leopold's Ghost. Depressing history of the Congo, some bias and leading, but mostly fairly straightforward.

The Hobbit. Comfort book. Excellent to go for after the Ghost.

The Count of Monte Cristo. It doesn't seem to be very popular to enjoy it, but I am. It's entertaining (mostly), and small historical references (that the author probably took for granted) are a large part of why I love classics.

Edit: Forgot I'd read A Thousand Splendid Suns at the beginning of this month.
