I'm working my way through the Loremasters of Elundium by Mike Jefferies Nebhead Send a noteboard - 03/02/2010 10:55:40 PM
The first book, The Road to Underfall is something I read a long time ago just after my dad got me hooked on Sword and Sorcery; I was reading anything and everything he had on his bookshelf, regardless of quality.

Something about this particular book has stayed with me, as I've remembered little bits of it on and off over the years, so I thought I'd sit down and see how it compares now with my memory of it.

I have to say, inital impressions were fairly bad; the writing is fairly atrocious. The characterisation also really annoys me, but I can't tell yet if that's good or bad. I want to think that the characters are so annoying because their blatant and unstereotypical weaknesses are human, but I suspect it's just bad writing.

Anywho, I may get around to writing a proper review (shock horror) once I'm done.
It's all my fault...
