In all seriousness, I'm sure every country has an author or two that it has right to be proud of. On the other hand, I don't think I'd knock something "classic" off the curriculum to make room for Whale Rider, at least not yet. Ooh, ooh, maybe knock off Melville's Moby Dick - this way you're keeping the whale theme and the hilarious sexual double entendre in the title at the same time, but the content of the book is likely to be far better in Whale Rider, even if it's not about having sex with really fat chicks (in my opinion, it could only be better if it WEREN'T about that).
