Two of my absolute favorite books ever (once I was old enough to be reading on my own) were books that featured a main character who had my name :) In my case those were A Wrinkle in Time (L'Engle) and Mischievous Meg (Lindgren). Fortunately these are also legitimately fantastic books :D So if you're trying to decide between recommended books and don't know how, maybe consider character name as a tiebreaker.


If I can find ones that are recommended here I will buy them as I see them in my forays to used book stores and if enough people mention one or someone does a really good job of selling it to me I will go ahead and buy it new and not wait until I find it cheaper.

A Wrinkle in Time has definitely been mentioned enough in this post to get my attention. I think I can remember Mischevious Meg. Those two should stick with me now.
