Recommendations? The title? The cover? Excerpts from reviews? The blurb on the back (if it has one)?


The cover never sells me, per se. But, it can definitely turn my head away. The sometimes helps, but I've learned that its not all about the title. Often times, its reviews I get here.

How likely are you to try something new?


I'm pretty picky about new things. It takes me a while to decide if I'm going to read something and then longer to actually do it. With the exception of rereads. Those take no decision making and I dive in immediately. But new material is something I give serious thought to.

What would make you step out of your comfort zone to read something completely different from your usual style?


Being offered a monkey butler to turn the pages for me!

When I try something new it's usually because the title is interesting or the cover is pretty. I almost always judge a book by its cover. Boring titles put me off completely, or titles that look like they're trying too hard.
