Latter books will get tied togheter somewhat but I feel the story don't follow a specifc set of characters but rather they follow events on diffrent continents. Books 1,3,8 takes place on Genebackis. Books 2,4,6 deals with the Seven Cities continent and books 5,7,9 deals with Lether.
