They can give him a year or two to develop and then let him and Quinn fight it out for the starting position. When you have as many people calling you one of the greatest college players of all times as he does there must be some potential there to be quality NFL player. He may not have what it takes to play QB in the NFL but with some tweaks to his mechanics he could change that and if can play in the NFL anywhere near as well as he played in college there will be a lot of guys kicking themselves for passing him up. If he doesn’t well then he is just one of many busted draft picks. It isn’t like they took at the number one spot. If nothing else you can retrain him to play tight end because he is a beast and he is all heart and that is a hard combination to beat. At least you don’t have to worry about him be problem in the locker room.

I do wonder if he would as controversial if he didn’t wear his religion on his sleeve the way he does. I think it says something about our culture that so many people seem to be offended by his in your face Christian values but are willing to over look criminal behavior in other players. And no I am not talking about anyone just general level of resistance among some to a guy who is a very talented athlete. He also has a huge fan base and I predict he will be selling lots of jerseys even before he becomes a starter.
