The only thing this piece of legislation will do is allow racist cops to detain anyone latino that they want to. And there are plenty of racist cops in Arizona. All this will lead to is more profiling.
This will do NOTHING to stop the Drug Cartels. If you hadn't noticed, part of working in a Drug Cartel is working under the radar and being difficult to catch. What, are the border cops going to arrest everyone at the border who can't dig out their passport card quickly enough? The Drug Cartels will simply use their resources to make fake passport cards for people to carry around.
