you will probably hit back and say i'm dull and unintresting and why should people bother talking to me but people need places to vent. if venting takes place here, FB or Twitter what does it matter?
When you post on a public forum, everyone has to look at it. Yes, I could choose not to click, and believe me, I do choose not to click. It still clutters up a board with things that belong, for the most part, elsewhere. There certainly are cases where it is completely fine to post personal things. I just made my post because there was a lot of it on here. And some of it was just stupid.
And no, I'm not proposing that I, or anyone else, become an arbiter of such things. Just keep in mind that RAFO is not your blog.
Besides, I like being a bitchy, grouchy, heartless jerk sometimes.
i don't blog on here anyway, cept that one post ages ago. im resgined to the fact that very few people care about me so i don't bother. but the people that are 'blogging' here tend to be big name rafolites that everyone likes/ are intrested in.
That just because someone doesn't respond much doesn't mean they don't frequent this site a lot and are annoyed by people who post about the minutia of their life. I understand that a "community" board can be vague but it can get excessive at times. I don't think LiterateDog was calling for anyone's heads, just asking for people to be mindful of it, that's all. Every now and then RAFO might be the place for a vent and it might really help. In which case, I'm sure nobody minds. But it's important to remember that this isn't a blog dedicated to our personal lives.
You must unlearn what you have learned.
