I am simply responding to Obama's numerous, rhetorical speeches, in which he assures the masses that he will not rest nor enjoy a day of his breathing existence until this is resolved.
And this is a bad thing? Are you saying you don't want him to resolve the problem? Are you saying you don't want government to help the people of the gulf?
I wish the federal government had more control over the private industries, however this should not deter the government from creating a proactive campaign of trying to improve the area.
Considering that the federal government and obama especially is already being accused of everything from becoming a socialist, communist state by it's detractors, I doubt that'll get much support. I do find there's a certain irony, that those people who don't want big government stifling private industry and leaving states and individuals alone, but when the shit hits the fan, everyone clamoring for federal government help?
(also: your plan involving Biden sounds perfect to me.)
