And I don't know if appointing Hillary to the State Department was really the best move - sure, it keeps her quiet, but there were more experienced and competent alternatives, I'm sure. I'm not convinced by the article's suggestions that Obama is worse than Bush, though - other than the matter of the higher expectations that he fails to fulfill. And I can't agree with some of the detailed points - like the part where the author blames the failures in the Palestinian-Israeli peace process on the US, then declines to explain that statement. Or the part where he summarily dismisses Obama's valid concerns at the time of the Iranian election protests that any open American show of support might work counterproductively.
But in general, yeah, it's fair to say Obama isn't doing the best job on the international scene any more than on the domestic one. Considering that McCain really wouldn't have done better, one might start asking questions about the American election process.
