I have always thought he was an empty suite whose only really talent was giving pretty but ultimately empty speeches. There was nothing in his past and nothing about the way he conducted his campaign that made me believe he would be effective. He was great at appealing to the intellectual elite that pose as journalist these days so he got a pass on every issue. To bad they do the elite part so much better then the intellectual part.
