I'm glad we're making some sort of progress.

The several executive orders banning assassinations can be repealed by the stroke of a pen, and can even be removed only with respect to Iran if the President so chooses. We know that there is some order out there that has amended the policy to allow us to shoot Hellfire missiles at al Qaeda targets.

If I were going to bomb Iran, I wouldn't even bother touching the nuclear facilities. That would be like bombing a killer's weapon stash rather than the killer. No, decapitate the Islamic Republic at the head. Find out where the top 25 people we don't like in their government are going to be and strike. Repeat if necessary. Hell, don't even admit you've done it after it's done. "What, we bombed Iran? I don't think so. They're making this up."


I think that's a lot easier said then done. What if we miss? What if they survive? They'll just go underground. So not only have we lost the element of surprise, but we give the regime a valuable PR tool ( not to mention an excuse to kill the reform movement), a rallying cry for their military, and now we're stuck in a 3rd war.
