The English commentators didn't exactly seem very credible when they claimed they'd have protested just as loudly if the denied goal had been Germany's, but they're right that this kind of nonsense really is getting ridiculous. The entire world could see that goal was in, but just because the one man in black wasn't in the right position to see it correctly, it's denied.
In a way, it'd have been better if the game HAD been closer, and the urgent need for assistance to the referee in these situations, whether technological or just through even more assistant referees, had been emphasized some more.
Shocking defending by the English, though. And if they can only get four goals in four games - it's not as if the German defense was an impenetrable wall, either, perhaps even the least impenetrable of the four - one has to conclude their attack was lacking as well.

I am pleased that the goal differential was more than that one goal. It should have been 4-2.

That's my big concern, that Blatter the tosser gets off with this one.

Argentina just has too much power. Milito was absurd this year at Inter.

My thoughts exactly. Germany is officially never allowed to moan about "Das Wembley-Tor" again. *NM*

I'm fine with a bit of overconfidence, but playing without a defence was probably a bit too much. *NM*

If you've memorised the lower-case code, just subtract 32 for the upper-case code.
