the guy's name is Mesut Özil. Not Ozil. If you don't have Umlauts at your keyboard you are allowed to type Oezil. But please acknowledge that there are people even worse concerning those dots than Germans.
BTW if you find Germans and Turkish too full of Umlauts, try Hungarian and get mad.
I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when
there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.
