Does he have any success on a different browser (firefox, for example)?
Can you ask him to open a command window (click start, run, type "cmd" without quotes, click ok) and type 'ping www.readandfindout.com' (again without the quotes) in the window that appears and hit enter.
Does he see something like this:
Ping statistics for 97.107.130.237:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 84ms, Maximum = 173ms, Average = 106ms
If not, what happens?
Can you also ask him to do the following:
1.Open Internet Explorer
2.Go to "Tools" --> "Internet Options"
3.Click on the "Advanced" tab
4.Uncheck "Show Friendly Error Message"
5.Click "OK"
6.Reload the page, he should now see a more detailed error message.
