I am curious though what should Obama do atm?

If he stops spending money, then business needs to pick up the cost of production which they are unwilling to do. If he reduces taxes, then the government has to borrow more money from overseas to cover the costs.

Why is it that Obama gets all the blame, when any legislation proposed by him has to go through the houses of parliament. Why don't they get the blame as well.

The US economy for many years lived beyond its means, thinking that the boom times will never end. Now that they have, everyone is bitching about the current government, not the previous governments that lead to this position.
