When I looked at the replies above mine they all pretty much said the same sort of thing about how it was close to the truth. I'll admit I didn't delve into the long thread that started with the link issues because I thought it didn't apply.
This is fair enough.
I'll also admit that I haven't checked what else has been said, but that's because it wasn't said at the time I wrote my post. Up to that point, it looked like most people were generalizing all the people who didn't support the muslim community center.
This seems to be untrue to me - can you point out which where any of the three replies made before you replied did this?
I said - "In fact, I'm not sure that counts as parody so much as a fair representation of some"
Moondog commented on a single instance of a post that sounded like it on his ex's Facebook page.
Blackadder didn't state either way.
You seem to have replied to what you think people would say rather than what they actually said but since it is only three replies, I'm sure it won't take you long to prove me wrong and that you weren't just making a generalisation that isn't supported by fact.

Your own post saying that it is disturbingly accurate, while paired with the statement that it's a fair representation of "some" does make it less generalizing, to say that it's "disturbingly accurate" at all is just ridiculous. There might be a small minority of people who feel that way about the mosque, but really most people are just misinformed, or have real, normal, fair concerns over it.
And it's also not like this is the first time I've come across people generalizing those against the "ground zero mosque." It seems like everywhere I turn the people who support it look at those who don't as racist lunatics.
Which is completely unfair.
You must unlearn what you have learned.
