They should have held this referendum ages ago, so that they could have had some time to fire their people up again after the disappointment of losing it. It's too late now with the election so close.
What would be hilarious is if another party got in in May (say another Lib/Lab coalition), and they instigated a referendum, confident of a No vote. That would really make the SNP look foolish.

I can't help thinking, "Who is going to vote for an SNp who had a full term in power and didn't get round to the referendum?". Their credibility is shot to pieces.
Like yourself, I think slightly more devolved power is the way forward, I've never been a nationalist.
