What are your feelings on this? Do you think HR has any business looking at your personal life outside of work? Is it discrimination, or is it your own damn fault for not making your profile "friends only"?
The latter, really. Same as with other stuff on the internet - if you're going to make information about yourself publicly available to anyone who googles your name, it'd better be stuff you don't mind anyone seeing, including potential employers.
Although finding me among the 150 people by my name on Facebook isn't all that easy. Also I use another email address for serious stuff than I do for private stuff like Facebook.
