I know it's upsetting and confusing that not all black people like hip-hop, but it does happen. Individuals and all...


It's not upsetting; but heartening, that there is a variety of musical tastes. Especially those that lack the extreme bass. You know the sound waves that vibrate the whole body- so not healthy.

According to stereotypes, since I'm from a Midwest farm family I should be listening to country and bluegrass. That there type of music to git down at dat thare square dance.

The only thing I listen to in that genre is Allison Krauss and Union Station. . .

And just because my grandfather didn't know what a cello was when I brought it home in the 4th grade doesn't mean that they didn't come to every single concert till I was a freshman in college. According to preconceived notions they shouldn't have done that. Really, who would expect a construction worker and bus driver to actually enjoy symphonic concerts? It just baffles the mind. They should have just stayed at home listening to Elvis and Loretta Lynn.
