But I believe people would flood in initially if it were made available again. How well it did after the initial "Shiny!" wore off would then depend on who participated and how enjoyable the conversation was.

I fully acknowledge that apathy might set in over time and all the work coding the thing would be for naught after it eventually fell into disuse and abuse. ;)
