Looks like both devices have their supporters. But I guess that means I can't really go wrong either way.


If you're happy to buy everything from Amazon, the Kindle (3) is probably the better device. If you want a little more flexibility or hate supporting proprietary formats, then maybe you should look to the nook.

Also, I'm not sure if it works with the Kindle (it seems to say it does), but Calibre is an awesome eBook Library manager. It's a little quirky, but I use it regularly to push non-DRM'd ePUBs to my nook. It lets you edit the metadata and everything.
