Sure, Barcelona are current favourites. Real Madrid may have signed two of the best players in the world over the summer and Chelsea are without one of (if not the) most influential player in the side in Didier Drgoba for the opening matches. But I'm a Chelsea fan and a realist. :thumbsup:


Real will be hard to beat this year, and Barca are always strong, but I think Chelsea have the one of strongest CL squads out there. You've got experience all through the pitch, a team that's established playing together, a manager with great pedigree and more desire than anyone else in the competition. I don't see Drogba's absence making a huge difference as most of those early games are against weak opposition. Porto is the only one potential tough spot and they could still be easily overcome.

So, this week. Do you expect there to be any major upsets? Will Eto'o and Ibrahimovic return to haunt Barcelona / Inter tomorrow night? After a positive start to the season, can anyone see anything other than Kaká and Ronaldo doing the business in Zurich? Will all English teams start with a win?


If all English sides don't start with a win it will be horribly embarrassing considering the level of opposition.
