I mean to say that I think it's traditional, i.e., traditional family sort of thing. Which, I mean, is the same reason that conservatives (and non-conservatives) in the US give for not wanting to allow homosexual marriage. I mean, the issue has also been discussed in China, so it's not like they don't even consider the possibility of allowing homosexual marriage.

This "China's not so bad, and America is SO evil; it's really two sides of the same coin" thing would be funny if the stakes weren't so high.
