Which side is trying to use the tragedy of a mad man with a gun a to demonize the other side?

Both of them are, sadly, but what's more disappointing is that it only seems to bother you when the far left does it.
Why the fascist of course. The Nazis wanted to take over the world the communist wanted tot take over the world. Sorry don't see opposite ends of a political spectrum there.

That's because you're choosing to narrowly focus on a single aspect of what were far more complex ideologies.
I am more than willing to admit that both sides use harsh rhetoric so lets stop all the whining and claims that it is the right who is causing the problem and lets stop trying to exploit a tragedy to silence the opposition. Which is what they are doing of course. Constant attacks accusing the right of inciting violence and then when something like this happens us e the passion and panic created to put pressure on the right to tone it down while they (who are of course innocent) continue the attacks. They are not even letting the fact that this incident has nothing to do with political rhetoric stop them from using it to "prove" the right is crazy and dangerous.

Extremists and opportunists on BOTH sides are guilty of that, and I'd like nothing better than to move past that, but dismissing one extremes exploitation and embracing the others won't achieve that goal. That's still just giving political opponents all the blame, for the exploitation itself now instead of the violence. They're BOTH wrong and should both be repudiated.
