It is the windows which are not cleared. Having snow fly off the roof from a car is no different than getting pelted by dirt from the open top dump trucks on the Hwy....and they don't get ticketed.


Just because someone else doesn't get ticketed shouldn't exclude you from getting one for causing a visibility problem which may cause an accident.

Usually if you're following at a safe distance, the stuff that falls out of those kinds of vehicles shouldn't be a problem, but I have had a pebble bounce 25-30 feet and give me a little crack on my windshield.

Also: I often worry about tire shreds. That scares the shit out of me.
