despise everything they represent??? moondog Send a noteboard - 09/02/2011 01:54:07 AM
we'll have to agree to disagree on the quality of play (at least by Pitt; I disagree with Palatine instead of you on how well GB played, even if I do despise everything they represent). Which is fine.

so, let's see if we can figure out which part of "what the packers represent" you're least in favor of....

- the NFL shared revenue rule which allows the smallest market team in the country the ability to compete against the big market teams (the rule which is unique of all of the major sports leagues and part of the reason the NFL has such overall parity) and actually WIN the super bowl
- community owned team which means no billionaire megalomaniac threatening to move the team every time the city doesn't do his bidding on stadiums and other big ticket items
- a rabid fan base which ensures that every game for the next 30+ years is sold out no matter if the team sucks or wins the super bowl, meaning no local TV blackouts of games

i'm sure i could keep going if i had time to list more. and yes, some of these things are digs at one of your former favorite teams if you needed confirmation of the facts.
