Having read about love in a book once, I feel qualified to reply. TaskmasterJack Send a noteboard - 09/02/2011 10:35:58 PM
1. Is there one person out there meant for you (soulmate) or an endless combination of suitable choices?

There are multiple tolerable choices resulting in varying levels of success and happiness.

2. If soulmates did exist, what do you think the odds would be of actually finding them?

One out of one. If we're going to invoke magic and pixies, let's go all out.

3. How long after a breakup/divorce is it acceptable to start dating again?

Immediately.

4. If you come out of a long-term relationship wanting to date right away, what do you think that means in regards to your feelings for that person?

That the relationship made you feel wanted and desired, which you no longer feel, and you want to know as quickly as possible that it wasn't some fluke and that you can regain that sensation with someone else who will put up with your shit and aren't doomed to loneliness.

5. How would you describe your romantic feelings; soft puddy or steel?

Steampunk.

6. In relation to the question above, describe your openness to your partner on a scale of 1-10. One being a closed book and 10 being open as a flower towards the sun.

A flower keeps its roots beneath the soil, hidden from the sun.

7. Do you agree or disagree with this statement: "If couples really knew what the other person was thinking, there would be no couples."

Disagree, with a qualifier. The quantity of couples would be dependent on like-mindedness and whether this telepathic hive-mind joining only included one another or if you could pick the brains of the rest of the planet for comparison. Obviously if you could only read one person's mind you might think "this person is so fucked up", but if you could read everyone's mind you might think "this person is so average and typical and not at all as deviant as I might otherwise have thought."

8. On a scale of 1-10, rate the importance of sex in a relationship.

11

9. Do you always remember the first person you loved?

I remember all of them.

10. When it comes to the end of a relationship; is it better to burn out or fade away?

It's better for her to say, "I'm not interested in you anymore, but here is my hot friend who is very limber, not opposed to threesomes and has totally been into you throughout our entire relationship. I leave you in capable hands."
