What we talk about when we talk about love. snoopcester Send a noteboard - 10/02/2011 11:45:27 AM
1. Is there one person out there meant for you (soulmate) or an endless combination of suitable choices?

More the latter - not endless but rather a selecion of variable suitableness, based on everything about them.

2. If soulmates did exist, what do you think the odds would be of actually finding them?

If they existed then it implies to me a supernatural power of some sort. So probably bump into them pretty quickly. If they existed which I don't think they do.

3. How long after a breakup/divorce is it acceptable to start dating again?

Depends on the relationship and also what the person is looking for in dating and if they are honest about having jsut had the break up with the person(s) they date.

4. If you come out of a long-term relationship wanting to date right away, what do you think that means in regards to your feelings for that person?

It can vary - it might just mean the person is depressed about being alone and badly needs a gap in their life filled, or they're just trying to find ways to take their mind of it... or pretty much anything.

5. How would you describe your romantic feelings; soft puddy or steel?

Somewhere in between.

6. In relation to the question above, describe your openness to your partner on a scale of 1-10. One being a closed book and 10 being open as a flower towards the sun.

In between again

7. Do you agree or disagree with this statement: "If couples really knew what the other person was thinking, there would be no couples."

For some, yes. I imagine for most it isn't the case though - they might not need or want to hear it but it wouldn't ruin the relationship, they might just prefer to ignore that their other half thinks Twilight it the best book/ film of the last 100 years.

8. On a scale of 1-10, rate the importance of sex in a relationship.

Needs to be there, really. So 10 because if it isn't then you are just really close friends.

9. Do you always remember the first person you loved?

Sometimes I can barely remember which day of the week it is:P

10. When it comes to the end of a relationship; is it better to burn out or fade away?

either is fine, what matters I think is it ending honestly and with respect for the other person.

Robert Graves "There is no money in poetry, but then there is no poetry in money, either."

Henning Mankell "We must defend the open society, because if we start locking our doors, if we let fear decide, the person who committed the act of terror will win"
