an islamic center in orange county, california held a fundraiser to benefit women's homeless shelters. one of the local city council members gave a speech in protest saying the muslims were "pure unadulterated evil" and insinuating that the money being raised for women's shelters and schools is actually going to fund terrorists to attack the US. it's amazing what people are capable of believing when they decide to be ignorant.
