did you notice there was an editing break between those statements?

I did; did YOU notice that unless the intervening words were "I don't believe... " they don't change the comments meaning at all?

There was a Republican last year, from GA, IIRC, who WAS badly quoted out of context (I forget the specifics, but it was basically the equivalent of cutting off the "I don't support... " part of his statement; pretty egregious) and I didn't hesitate to condemn that. 'Cos, y'see, when you're more concerned about being on the "right" side in the sense of what's decent than in the sense of political affiliation, that's what you have to do. The councilwomans comments are nothing like that and we both know it so it's deeply disappointing that you keep indulging the conceit that they are. Maybe you're not better than that, but I certainly hope you are, and you most certainly should be. People who want the Marines going after Americas citizens because of their religion should have no authority over America, her Marines or her citizens.
