So let me get this straight: Tom Send a noteboard - 22/03/2011 06:48:53 PM
You're saying, without evidence, that some people on Twitter are opposed to the action. I never would have guessed. You provide no evidence why these semi-anonymous voices of dissent, who are in the minority as you admit, should have figured into the coalition's decision to start bombing to stop the Qaddhafi forces at the gates of Benghazi. Then you go on to say that these voices diminished when Qatar announced it was joining the coalition. So in other words, these irrelevant anonymous people didn't need Qatar to have joined the coalition BEFORE we started bombing, just to know that Qatar DID actually join. I once again see no reason why we should have waited.

Please go back to your original statement and explain to me how anything you've said since has supported that original statement. How would we have gained by waiting to start the campaign until Qatar was ready (which it still isn't, by the way)? How much would we have lost in dead civilians in Libya?

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
