I have absolutely no idea what to say.... On one hand, I'm glad the kid stood up for himself. On the other, he could have paralyzed that other kid for life, and I don't think that should be turned into a heroic thing. The concept of refusing to be bullied, yeah. Not picking someone up and dropping him on his head. He should probably be praised and scolded.

I don't have a problem with what he did, just how he did it... but it was pretty clear he just snapped and wasn't thinking about what he did. Hopefully both kids have learnt their lesson but I'd guess the little kid probably hasn't (I read a blog about the incident which was saying he was interviewed with his dad and tried to claim he wasn't bullying until his dismayed looking dad made him), just the other kid will have learnt he can stand up for himself just not by bouncing people in their heads.

Robert Graves "There is no money in poetry, but then there is no poetry in money, either."

Henning Mankell "We must defend the open society, because if we start locking our doors, if we let fear decide, the person who committed the act of terror will win"
