How about these? ironclad Send a noteboard - 11/04/2011 07:30:41 PM
I was looking up a word in my big German-English Dictionary when I noticed what may be the funniest word in German. It is:

Muckefuck

And apparently it means a coffee substitute. And you thought "Sanka" was weird enough...

Since we do not have the word "fuck" it's only half as funny when you are German :P
I thought to myself, "If I drank coffee, and if I were to want a substitute, there is no way that I could say 'ich möchte etwas Muckefuck, bitte' with a straight face. I would start laughing."

Muckefuck is not exactly the kinda stuff you'd order at a cafe. More like the stuff you'd get at a construction site at breakfast :P

1. Name a word in a foreign language that you think sounds funny.

Swedish: farthinder. for obvious reasons.
2. Name a word in a foreign language you do not like.

most of French. Unless it's whispered by a naked girl.
3. Name a word or phrase in your own language you do not like.

Rheinschifffahrtskapitänsmütze. Just kidding ;)
4. Name a word or phrase in your own language you find funny.

Oachkatzlschwoaf. That's Bavarian for Squirrel's tail.
5. If it's possible to articulate WHY for any of the foregoing, please do so. I realize it's sometimes very hard.

I think they speak for themselves :P

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
