The parents seem to be the problem more than the child

I don't know the age of the kids so it is hard to judge how shocking their behavior is but I assume the parents are old enough to know better. My kid is a brat and I know that but I don't expect other people to have to suffer because of it. I could see my daughter doing something like coughing in someones face when she was two or three (or even now if she thought it was game), little kids have poor judgment and worse impulse control. I couldn't imagine laughing it off and calling it silly though. At a minimum I would have chastised her and made her apologize to you.
Are the kid's parents a lot older than you? I know I have a tendency to let my daughter pester her grown brothers a LOT more than I would ever allow her to pester other adults. If I am honest with myself it is partly because I still think of them as kids and because I think it is funny and reminds me of how they just to pester me when I was not much older than they are right now.

That sounds extremely annoying. But less of the racism, if you don't mind.

"Paki" is used self-referentially in the States without being a slur. Cool your jets.

SILVER ON THE TREE. Bullies are tormenting a Sikh child on a bridge.

I was talking about Aisha, not you. I don't know where you live--I thought you were European.

Obviously killing people is worse than calling them names.

I think that makes various forms of discrimination less serious.

Much less than you'd think, given that is considered racist over here in the UK unlike the US. *NM*

Even aside from the use of the word "Paki"...

Well, they aren't racially British, so "anti-British racism" is by definition inapplicable here.

Methinks you have a rather narrow definition of "race".

No, you just distorted the word "race" out of all recognition for legal definition purposes.

Does the existence of a British race even exist by that definition?

By giving... its legal definition in the UK! (At least for the purposes of the Equality Act.)

Yes, my point was that giving legal definitions was a corruption of common sense.
