Again, I love ya dear, but I didn't read half of that.:P The point is that why would you tell someone you don't read? If you're not an avid reader, why would reading even be on your radar as a way to define yourself? Even by saying you don't read much? Imo, he's given us a big clue to who he is. But, again, that's just my first impression. I'm usually pretty good with them too, but you're free to disagree.


She did say she got a message from him - so he might have been responding to her profile rather than just offering it up out of the blue.

That does make more sense, if her profile says something about reading/writing (likely). Then I could see why that would be a reasonable comment. I still agree with me though, I am not sure he is one I would pick to pursue.
