You can certainly use your tall confident white male thing to make a lot of money in NY. That's a good way to go- it's definitely awesome to be making money in NY...
Under option two, I'd move to either NYC (going there this Summer), Boston, or Philly (going there this Summer), and try to make a lot of money. I assume I can use my "tall, confident white male", work experience, and whatever additional education I get to make that happen, though of course, I'm not positive.
Option three isn't really something where I think: oh I'll move to NYC, and get published. It's more like a life experience. I think getting published is a crapshoot, anyway, and additionally I'd really just like a year where I can write what I want from a personal perspective. Further: driving across the whole country and living somewhere different would be cool. Who does that? I would do that.
I'll probably go with either option two or three, because life is too short. Or I'll go with option four - whatever that may be.
