I'm glad he's dead but it doesn't give me any pleasure - it was just something that had to be done.


That seems to be the key difference between American and British reactions. I don't know about the rest of the world, but having taken some time off to watch BBC news this morning, that was my main impression.


maybe because the british realize that dancing in the streets and cheering like mad is an ok reaction when your future king marries his dream girl, but not when a mass murderer is shot in the head and killed no matter how much he deserved to have his life come to an end.
