I know several average citizens that could make a convincing Photoshopped corpse, so obviously pictures wouldn't cut it.

Hollywood has proved that you can fake anything and make it appear real on film, so actual footage of the kill wouldn't work either.

There's the testimony of a multitude of witnesses on both sides of the fight that it's him, but they could all be lying.

Hell, if they laid the body out in a glass coffin in Times Square like he was Lenin, people would still walk by and go "Pfft, that isn't him."
