I can see Cameron using this to let News International off the hook for this, which I assume is Murdoch's hope.

It was terrible behaviour, bribing police officers, hacking the phone of a missing child which interfered with the police search for her and hacking the phones of the families of people who died in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq - Murdoch of course would never tell people to do that.... but I bet he didn't mind getting the stories from what those people did and is responsible for the culture where people thought that was what they should do.

Robert Graves "There is no money in poetry, but then there is no poetry in money, either."

Henning Mankell "We must defend the open society, because if we start locking our doors, if we let fear decide, the person who committed the act of terror will win"
